Face Frame vs Frameless

With Frameless cabinets, doors are mounted to the sides of the cabinet box, therefore fully-overlay the box. Width of cabinet opening is wider when using frameless construction. Frameless is often used in European designs and is known for being more contemporary and modern. With Face Frame cabinets, doors are mounted inset flush into the frame, which can allow for partial or full overlaying of the box. There is a visible overlapping frame with face frame construction. Face Frame is often used in American designs and is known for being more traditional in style.
